Etappe 31 Boadilla del Camino KM723-752

Gestern hatte ich ganz vergessen zu berichten, dass Osito seinen ersten Kindernotarzteinsatz hatte! Dies kleine Geschichte möchte heute noch hinzufügen. Einige Meter vor uns läuft ein Spanier mit seine beiden Kindern. Plötzlich fällt das kleine Mädchen in den Schotter, und fängt an zu weinen. Dann kommt Osito mit Tatütata angerannt und das Mädchen kann wieder lachen. Zum Glück waren es nur ganz kleine Schürfwunden die kein Pflaster benötigten.  

Heute dürfen Thomas und ich ein leckeres Frühstück geniessen, dann starten wir ohne Hast in den Tag. Am Ortseingang von Hontanas ist ein winzige Kapelle zu sehen. Der Ort ist schnell durchschritten und wir folgen auf ein wunderschönen Pfad dem Arroyo de Garbanzuelo. Hier im dem Tal sind wir gut vor dem kräftigem Wind geschützt. Im Convento de San Antón, gibt es Frühbucherrabatt denn das Dach ist noch nicht geliefert. Es weiter nach Castrojenz. Hier gibt es Kirche mit Museum. Den Hinweis auf ein Euro Eintritt übersehen beim reinlaufen, doch beim Rausgehen gilt es dann doch die Zeche zu bezahlen, immerhin bekomme ich ein Stempel in den Pilgerpass dafür. Nach Castrojenz

erwartet und ein große Bodenwelle, andere würden sagen es ist ein Anstieg von vielen Kilometern. Egal wer oben ankommt, er oder sie ist glücklich. Dann folgt ein fast endlosen Stück Meseta, in dem nur kurz von das Dorf Itero de la Vega etwas Abwechslung bietet. Hier auf der Hochfläche zeigt der Wind seine Kraft und bläst und kräftig und manchmal fast unangenehm ins Gesicht. Die Albergue En elCamino hat als Novum ein Fahrstuhl, der uns sehr bequem in den zweite Stock bringt wo wir ein Schlafsaal mit guten Betten auf uns wartet.

Yesterday I had completely forgotten to report that Osito had his first pediatric emergency medical call! I would like to add this little story today. A few meters ahead of us a Spaniard is walking with his two children. Suddenly the little girl falls into the gravel and starts crying. Then Osito comes running with sirens blaring and the girl can laugh again. Luckily they were only very small abrasions that didn't need a plaster. 

Today Thomas and I are allowed to enjoy a delicious breakfast, then we start the day without rushing. At the entrance to Hontanas there is a tiny chapel. We quickly walk through the town and follow a beautiful path along the Arroyo de Garbanzuelo. Here in the valley we are well protected from the strong wind. In the Convento de San Antón there is an early bird discount because the roof has not yet been delivered. We continue to Castrojenz. Here there is a church with a museum. I overlooked the notice about the one euro entrance fee when I went in, but when I left I had to pay the bill, but at least I got a stamp in my pilgrim's passport for it. After Castrojenz

I expected a big bump in the road, others would say it was a climb of many kilometers. No matter who got to the top, he or she was happy. Then there was an almost endless stretch of Meseta, where the village of Itero de la Vega offered some variety just a short distance away. Here on the plateau the wind showed its strength and blew strongly and sometimes almost unpleasantly in the face. The Albergue En elCamino has a new elevator that takes us very comfortably to the second floor where a dormitory with good beds awaited us.
