Etappe 13 Canfranc KM304-328

Die Wolken hängen tief, ob es noch regnen wird? Und es ist um acht Uhr noch mit knapp 10 Grad noch ziemlich kalt. Und die Beine sind noch malade von gestern. Doch jetzt hör auf malaufzujammernpackdein Rucksack und los geht’s. Und wenn Doris Neubauer auch noch Etappenpatin ist solltest du hochmotiviert sein! 
Die ersten paar Kilometer ging es entlang der Route National. Dann wurden die Wanderer ins Dunkle geschickt. Es ging nun hinein in den Tunnel! 940m durch den Untergrund nur das bisschenLichtdeeHandymuss reichen den Weg zu finden. Da bekommt das Wort, Licht am Ende des Tunnels echt Bedeutung. Noch über das Viadukt, dann war auch schon fast Urdos erreicht. Hier kamen mir auch noch zweiPilger mit sechs gut vollgepackten Pferden entgegen. In einen kleinen Lädchen noch ein Vesper und gemäß dem Rat der Kinder von Susanne und Heiner (siehe KM Patenschaften) noch ein Wegbier besorgt.Sogerüstet kann derAnstieg zum Somport beginnen. Das bedeutete erstmal das eintauchen in das Wolkenmeer. Richtig neblig wurde es und man braucht die GPS-Funktion des Handy tatsächlich!
Doch mit zunehmender Höhe und der Kraft der Sonne war auch dies Nebelsuppe überstanden. Kurz vor der Passhöhe schickte der Winter mit ein paar letzten Schneefeldern seine Grüße!
Auf 1632m war die Passhöhe und die Grenze zu Spanien erreicht.

The first few kilometers were along the Route National. Then the hikers were sent into the dark. Now it was time to go into the tunnel! 940m through the underground, only the little light from the cell phone had to be enough to find the way. That's where the phrase "light at the end of the tunnel" really takes on meaning. Just over the viaduct, then I was almost at Urdos. Here I also met two pilgrims with six well-packed horses. I stopped at a small shop for a snack and, following the advice of Susanne and Heiner's children (see KM sponsorships), bought a beer to go with it. Now equipped, the climb to Somport can begin. That meant diving into the sea of clouds. It got really foggy and you really need the GPS function on your phone!

But as the altitude increased and the sun became stronger, this foggy situation was also overcome. Shortly before the top of the pass, winter sent its greetings with a few last snowfields!

At 1632m, the top of the pass and the border with Spain were reached.

Hinab von der Passhöhe und vorbei an der Skistation Candanchú und immer entlang des Rio Aragón ist bald auch das Etappenziel Canfranc erreicht.
